Climate Tech Startup Syroco Selected for the French Blue Tech Index

This Monday evening, at the French National Maritime Museum, Syroco was selected among the best startups in the maritime sector, in the Transport and Decarbonisation category.

For the first time this year, the French Maritime Cluster unveiled the French Blue Index Tech of the best startups in the Maritime sector, under the patronage of the State Secretariat for the Sea and with the support of Indosuez Wealth Management. Selected by a jury of experts from the innovation and maritime sectors, the 35 startups which make up this new index represent the best of 1,200 startups focused on maritime in France.

The selection was presented at the French National Maritime Museum in Paris, during an event bringing together representatives of the selected startups and numerous investors, and in the presence of Hervé Berville, Secretary of State for the Sea.

Alex Caizergues, President and co-founder of Syroco, declared: “We are proud to have been selected for this index which highlights the most promising and successful startups in the field. This selection validates elements such as Syroco’s innovative character, growth potential, economic viability, but also our impact on the environment.”

Syroco, a Climate Tech startup, supports the energy transition of maritime transport, by optimising the energy efficiency of ships during voyages, reducing fuel consumption and emissions by 10% or more.

Leveraging accurate weather and sea data, Syroco EfficientShip uses a digital twin of the vessel, driven by data and artificial intelligence, to calculate optimised routing at any time in order to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

The route chosen by the crew is displayed on the bridge through the intuitive and user-friendly interface of the on-board application which also displays en-route weather conditions as well as real-time voyage optimisation recommendations.
